Role Overview
Join Fospe’s Bahrain development team as a Junior Software Engineer. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, curious developer to work on enterprise-grade software architectures, receive 1-on-1 mentorship from senior architects, and accelerate their career in modern web technologies, APIs, and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Node.js/Python) modules.
- ✓Develop REST and WebSocket APIs, data models, and database migrations.
- ✓Participate actively in daily standups, sprint reviews, and technical code reviews.
- ✓Investigate bug reports, write automated tests, and optimize application UI performance.
- ✓Learn and adopt modern CI/CD practices, cloud deployment strategies, and security fundamentals.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent bootcamp graduate.
- ✓0-2 years of software development experience with strong foundational computer science fundamentals.
- ✓Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS/Tailwind.
- ✓Basic experience with backend development (Node.js/Express, Python/FastAPI, or Go).
- ✓Familiarity with Git version control, relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and REST APIs.
- ✓Strong passion for continuous learning, problem-solving, and clean code principles.
Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications
- Public GitHub repository demonstrating personal or academic projects.
- Familiarity with Docker containerization and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Understanding of modern React patterns (hooks, state management, Next.js or Vite).
