We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a well-known Islamic Bank in Bahrain. The role focuses on supporting digital transformation initiatives, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring seamless delivery of banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for digital banking projects.
- Analyze customer journeys and propose enhancements for mobile and internet banking platforms
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria with technical details.
- Work closely with UX/UI teams to ensure customer-centric design
- Support AI banking initiatives by identifying use cases and data requirements
- Conduct gap analysis and propose process improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain product/project/test documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional collaboration. Discussing with the stakeholders to align on the requirements and priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information systems or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or fintech industry
Required Skills & Competencies
- Analytical Thinking Strong ability to interpret and improve business processes, systems, and applications.
- Effective Communication Exceptional written and verbal skills for interfacing with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Problem Solving Proven capacity to identify root issues and propose effective, innovative solutions.
- Technical Fluency Familiarity with databases and the software development lifecycle; ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams.
- Industry Expertise Knowledge of the banking sector, with a particular focus on digital and internet banking products and services.
- Project Management Basics Understanding of methodologies such as Agile or Scrum to support project planning and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or equivalent.
- Technical Know-how Exposure to programming languages and database management tools is a plus.
