Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst / Investment Analyst / Research Analyst to support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, market research, investment evaluation, and business intelligence. This role is responsible for analyzing financial performance, interpreting market trends, evaluating investment opportunities, and delivering data-driven insights that contribute to business growth and long-term organizational success.
The successful candidate will collect, organize, and analyze financial, operational, and market data to identify trends, measure performance, and support business planning initiatives. You will prepare comprehensive financial models, forecasting reports, profitability analyses, valuation assessments, and business performance dashboards to assist management in making informed strategic decisions.
The role involves conducting industry research, competitor analysis, economic assessments, and market intelligence studies to identify emerging opportunities, potential risks, and investment prospects. You will evaluate financial statements, business performance indicators, market conditions, and macroeconomic developments to provide meaningful recommendations that align with organizational objectives.
You will develop financial projections, perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, budget variance analysis, and cash flow assessments to support investment planning and operational improvements. Responsibilities also include preparing investment memorandums, research reports, executive presentations, and analytical summaries for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
The position requires monitoring portfolio performance, business metrics, market developments, and financial indicators while identifying trends that may impact investment decisions or business strategies. You will assist with valuation exercises, mergers and acquisitions analysis, capital allocation initiatives, and strategic planning activities where applicable.
You will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, strategy, operations, sales, and executive teams to gather relevant information, validate assumptions, and deliver accurate analytical insights. The role also includes maintaining financial databases, improving reporting processes, enhancing analytical models, and supporting automation initiatives that increase reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
You will ensure analytical work complies with financial reporting standards, corporate governance principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Continuous research into financial markets, investment methodologies, analytical tools, and economic developments is encouraged to strengthen decision-making capabilities and improve organizational performance.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, investment principles, corporate finance, and business performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and financial reporting concepts.
- Ability to build and interpret financial models, forecasting models, valuation analyses, and profitability assessments.
- Familiarity with budgeting, financial planning, variance analysis, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and market data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling tools, and data analysis software.
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms, financial databases, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of investment analysis, portfolio performance measurement, capital markets, and economic indicators.
- Knowledge of valuation methodologies, discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, and financial ratios.
