🎯 The Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental management programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will develop environmental strategies, oversee compliance with environmental laws and standards, manage environmental risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve corporate sustainability goals.
This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in environmental management, sustainability, environmental compliance, ESG, waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental risk management.
🚀 What You'll Do
- Develop and implement environmental management strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and international standards
- Lead environmental impact assessments, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Develop and maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS), including ISO 14001 compliance
- Monitor environmental KPIs including emissions, energy consumption, water usage, waste reduction, recycling, and carbon footprint
- Identify environmental risks and implement mitigation and corrective action plans
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, facilities, procurement, legal, and sustainability teams
- Develop environmental policies, procedures, and best practices
- Lead environmental awareness programs, employee training, and sustainability initiatives
- Prepare regulatory reports, sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, and executive presentations
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, consultants, auditors, and external stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement through environmental innovation, resource efficiency, and climate action initiatives
✅ What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Ecology, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, environmental compliance, ESG, or environmental engineering
- Proven experience managing environmental compliance programs and sustainability initiatives
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation, ISO 14001, environmental permitting, and regulatory reporting
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory authorities
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline
- Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing, energy, construction, oil & gas, mining, utilities, logistics, healthcare, or industrial operations
- Knowledge of ESG reporting, carbon management, climate risk, circular economy, biodiversity, waste management, and environmental data analytics
- Experience using environmental and sustainability platforms such as Enablon, Intelex, SpheraCloud, Microsoft Power BI, or similar enterprise solutions
- Experience managing regional or global environmental compliance programs
- Fluency in English is required
