The designer will support engineering, the production facilities, field service organizations and other departments as needed to transition the company to the upcoming updated vehicle multiplexing architecture.

  • Participate in the development of the new multiplexing architecture, becoming a subject matter expert in the process.
  • Use expertise gained while developing the new multiplexing architecture to support and educate the various engineering groups who will be impacted by the new architecture, including the teams responsible for creating multiplexing programs, electrical schematics, and other engineering designs.
  • Support and educate production facility personnel as they adapt to building vehicles with the new multiplexing architecture, including modifying multiplexing programs and guiding colleague on how to .
  • Support and educate Field Service team as they adapt to the new multiplexing architecture.
  • Create documentation as needed for the use of above-mentioned groups.
  • Provide customer-facing documentation and/or presentations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electrical/Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum years (1-3 for Junior, 3-5 for Intermediate, 5+ for Senior) of equivalent related industry/technology experience.
  • Experience in multiplexing systems for heavy-duty on- and off-highway vehicles, electrical integration systems, and a strong understanding of CAN bus networks (e.g., SAE J1939) is preferred.
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, such as ladder diagram and function block diagram are an asset.
  • Travel to the US (<30%)
