We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Service Department based out of our Brampton office.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support mechanics on the shop floor, providing technical guidance and assistance with complex repairs.
- Coordinate daily repair activities and prioritize work to meet service schedules and deadlines.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and safety standards to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial truck and trailer refrigeration units, including Carrier and Thermo King equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and refrigeration issues, read schematics, recharge systems, and perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Lead and support mechanics on the shop floor, providing technical guidance and assistance with complex repairs.
- Coordinate daily repair activities and prioritize work to meet service schedules and deadlines.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and safety standards to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Troubleshoot work-related issues and recommend improvements to shop operations and productivity.
- Ensure proper use of tools and equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Support compliance with company policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and cost-control measures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair, preferably with commercial refrigeration units.
- Strong technical knowledge of trailer mechanics, refrigeration systems, and diagnostic procedures.
- Previous experience guiding, mentoring, or coordinating the work of other mechanics.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in trailer maintenance and repair.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Valid driver's license, strong problem-solving skills, and a safety-focused approach.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
