About the role

The Specialist Medical Cannabis is responsible for promoting the company's medical cannabis portfolio to healthcare professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations and Key Accounts within the assigned territory. As medical cannabis is an emerging therapeutic approach, the Specialist plays a key role in developing the category: building scientific understanding among HCPs, establishing medical cannabis as a credible, evidence-based treatment option and improving patient access to treatment.

Requirements

  • Plans and delivers one-to-one scientific and promotional presentations to HCPs, as well as hospital presentations
  • Provides accurate, balanced and up-to-date scientific information to support the appropriate use of our products
  • Organizes scientific and marketing events (HCP meetings, Advisory Boards)
  • Develops strategies to approach new prescribers and grow sales across the territory
  • Builds and executes a territory plan to achieve sales objectives
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with KOLs and Key Accounts
  • Works with KOLs to establish medical cannabis as a credible, evidence-based treatment option
  • Identifies market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape through field insights
  • Carries out all activities in full compliance with applicable legislation, industry codes and company policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Experience promoting innovative / originator products in a scientifically driven environment
  • Proven ability to build a new therapeutic approach: shaping medical perceptions, educating HCPs and driving the adoption of a novel treatment option
  • Experience in product launches or new category development will considered as an asset
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets in an assigned territory
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
