The Landscape Architect will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality landscape projects, from concept through construction and implementation. The role involves developing creative and technically sound landscape solutions, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, suppliers, and contractors, and supporting the successful integration of softscape, hardscape, irrigation, and planting elements.
Location: Athens, with occasional travel to Crete as required based on project needs.
Requirements
- Develop landscape design concepts, plans, drawings, specifications, and material selections for softscape, hardscape, irrigation, planting, and Artscape works.
- Support landscape projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept and design development through procurement, construction, and installation.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate existing conditions, vegetation, natural features, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing scopes of work, RFPs, cost estimates, material specifications, tender packages, and other project documentation.
- Review landscape proposals, technical drawings, material submissions, and contractor documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Monitor landscape works on site to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, budgets, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Assist with value engineering, design optimization, and the resolution of landscape-related technical and site issues.
- Support plant and nursery coordination, including plant selection, quality, availability, procurement, and delivery.
- Prepare and support landscape maintenance and management plans to ensure long-term quality, sustainability, and preservation of completed projects.
Experience
- University degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in landscape, hospitality, residential, or mixed-use projects.
- Relevant experience in softscape, hardscape, irrigation, planting, and landscape construction.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
- Good understanding of landscape project delivery, from design development through construction and installation.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Greek will be considered an asset.
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with 3D modelling and visualization tools, such as SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, or similar.
- Ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings, landscape plans, specifications, and presentation packages.
- Good knowledge of plant species, planting design, landscape materials, and construction methods.
- Familiarity with tender documentation, BOQs, cost estimates, RFPs, and site coordination.
- Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on design quality and effective project implementation.
