Mobile Development Team Lead

Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced a Mobile Development Team Lead to lead the technical direction, development activities, and day-to-day coordination of our Mobile engineering capability.

This role is focused on hands-on technical leadership. The successful candidate will guide the Mobile development team, establish engineering best practices, mentor developers, and work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, QA engineers and Agile Delivery Leads to deliver high-quality mobile applications.

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, development and delivery of iOS and Android applications.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architecture principles and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers.
• Participate in solution design and technical decision-making.

Team Leadership

• Coordinate day-to-day development activities.
• Support workload planning and execution.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to technical hiring and onboarding activities.

Product Delivery

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure delivery commitments are met while maintaining product quality.
• Support release planning and deployment activities.

Quality & Engineering Excellence

• Drive implementation of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Promote test automation and quality engineering.
• Monitor application performance and technical health.
• Address technical debt and architectural improvements.
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• 7+ years of software development experience;
• 2+ years in a technical leadership, Lead Developer or Team Lead role;
• Strong experience in either:
• Native iOS (Swift), or
• Native Android (Kotlin),
• or both platforms.
• Experience with mobile application architecture patterns;
• Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services;

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading distributed development teams.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
• Experience in App Store and Google Play release processes.
• Knowledge of mobile security and performance optimization.
