The Role
As the Group continues to expand internationally, we are strengthening the Group Reporting team with a hands-on senior professional who will support the preparation and review of standalone IFRS reporting packages for the Group’s entities and ensure they are consolidation-ready.
This role combines strong accounting knowledge with practical reporting expertise. You will analyse trial balances, trace balances to the underlying journal entries, identify missing, misclassified or non-IFRS-compliant items, and agree the required corrections with local accounting teams.
Working closely with the Head of Group Reporting, you will support the monthly, interim and annual reporting cycles of a listed group and act as a key link between local finance teams, Group Reporting and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review standalone IFRS reporting packages for Group entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with Group instructions and deadlines.
Perform detailed trial balance reviews, including analytical and movement analysis, account scrutiny, and identification of accrual, cut-off and classification issues.
Identify and document accounting corrections and IFRS adjustments, agree them with local finance teams and follow up on timely implementation.
Support the Group consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, unrealised profit adjustments, foreign currency translation and consolidation schedules.
Support the preparation of IFRS statutory financial statements and notes in coordination with local accountants and external advisers.
Review subsidiary reporting deliverables and provide guidance on the application of IFRS and Group accounting policies.
Coordinate with external auditors on assigned areas, prepare audit deliverables, respond to queries and support the resolution of findings.
Contribute to technical accounting analyses and memos, including revenue recognition, leases, inventories, provisions, financial instruments and business combinations.
Reconcile data across the ERP, consolidation and management reporting systems, and contribute to process improvement, automation and documentation.
Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting deliverables for the Head of Group Reporting and the CFO.
Qualifications and Skills
5–8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit or group accounting. A combination of audit and industry experience is highly valued.
Hands-on experience in preparing IFRS reporting packages and/or statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities.
Working knowledge of consolidation fundamentals, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, foreign currency translation and basic consolidation adjustments.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, double-entry logic and trial balance analysis, with the ability to trace balances to underlying transactions and supporting documentation.
Experience in a multinational and/or listed group environment, with familiarity with reporting deadlines and internal controls.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP. Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or SOEL, completed or at final stages, is strongly preferred.
Strong IFRS knowledge, sound judgement and the curiosity to research and form a view on technical matters.
Rigorous, structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively and remain reliable under tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek, with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across countries, cultures and functions.
