As a Software Development Team Leader, you will guide the technical direction of software initiatives while supporting a multidisciplinary development team in delivering reliable, maintainable applications. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with close collaboration across product, design, and business stakeholders, making it well suited to someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving engineering practices, and translating business needs into effective technical strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of full-stack developers, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
- Manage the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical strategies.
- Implement and advocate Agile methodologies to enhance team productivity and project visibility.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security protocols.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Stay current with technology trends and evaluate new tools and frameworks to enhance development processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development, including 3+ years in a software development leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Back-end development experience with Node.js, or .NET.
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience managing Agile teams.
- Eligibility to work in Jordan.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders.
