Role Description The Environmental Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuwait City. This role involves conducting environmental assessments and studies, monitoring environmental performance, and supporting compliance with local and international environmental regulations and standards.
The Environmental Specialist will prepare technical reports, policies, and documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate environmental considerations into project design and execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with clients and regulators, contributing to environmental management and HSE initiatives, and providing guidance on best practices in environmental protection and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Environmental Science and Environmental Policy.
- Candidates should possess skills in Environmental Compliance and Environment Health and Safety (EHS).
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with environmental impact assessments, monitoring programs, and regulatory frameworks in Kuwait or the GCC region is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with environmental data analysis tools and common office software applications is an advantage.
