Role Description The Chief Mechanical Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for leading mechanical design and engineering activities for advanced HVAC and ventilation systems. This role oversees the development of mechanical components and assemblies, from concept to production, ensuring compliance with industry standards, certifications, and project specifications.
Daily responsibilities include coordinating design work, reviewing CAD models and technical drawings, guiding R&D efforts, and providing technical leadership on large-scale ventilation projects. The Chief Mechanical Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, supports project planning and scheduling, and resolves complex engineering issues related to performance, safety, and cost.
This role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports product optimization for global markets, and mentors engineering team members.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to lead complex HVAC and ventilation system design initiatives.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing detailed mechanical models and drawings.
- Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination, risk assessment, and delivery of multi-phase engineering projects.
- Background in Research and Development (R&D), driving innovation, performance optimization, and new product development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation technologies, and relevant international standards and certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, with strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects (e.g., airports, stadiums, tunnels) is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
