Accounting and Financial Reporting Specialist

Central Bank of Oman is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic Omani candidate to work as Accounting and Financial Reporting specialist.

Role Purpose

The role will support the accounting, valuation, reconciliation, performance measurement, and reporting of central bank financial position and performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Participating in Month- end operations and year-end closing.
• Preform External Portfolio Managers’ accounting and reporting.
• Preparing month end accounting vouchers and currency valuation adjustments, processing and other miscellaneous requirements .
• Ensuring the payment/receipts for the purchase/sale of shares are settled/received and posted in the General Ledger and all related records are properly maintained.
• Preform the performance measurement reports and financial analysis reports.
• Prepare periodic financial and management reports for the board , management and other stakeholders .

Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment accounting, treasury, investment operations, or portfolio reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent will be considered an advantage
