Company Description The Directorate General of Khoula Hospital oversees Khoula Hospital, Al Nahdha Hospital, and the Wattayah Women’s & Maternity Complex in the Sultanate of Oman. As part of the national healthcare system, it provides specialized and comprehensive medical services to diverse patient populations. The organization focuses on high-quality clinical care, patient safety, and continuous improvement of healthcare delivery.
With an accessible call center and strong community presence, it serves as a key referral and treatment hub in Muscat and the surrounding regions.
Role Description The Consultant will provide expert clinical and/or administrative guidance to support high standards of patient care and service delivery across the Directorate’s facilities. This full-time, on-site role in Muscat involves evaluating existing processes, recommending improvements, and contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
The Consultant will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in case discussions or program reviews, and help implement best practices aligned with national and international standards. Daily tasks may include reviewing data and reports, advising on complex cases or projects, supporting staff training, and ensuring that clinical protocols and operational procedures are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in a relevant medical or healthcare specialty, with the ability to provide advanced clinical or operational consultation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience reviewing data, evaluating service quality, and developing evidence-based recommendations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in healthcare management, quality improvement, or policy development within a hospital or healthcare system is highly beneficial.
- Relevant professional certification and registration, and a postgraduate degree (e.g., MD, MSc, MPH, or equivalent) in a related field preferred.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and continuous professional development.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
