We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Head of Quality. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Location: Oman Onshore
Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement

Key Job Accountabilities
- Maintain interfaces with Yard Fabrication team to ensure that quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively
- Coordinate with the Welding & NDE inspectors to ensure that welding related quality issues are identified, communicated and rectified
- Liaise with Systems Completion team to ensure that inspection records are aligned with and support systems completion
- Provide feedback on quality issues; expedite closure of lessons learned; provide feedback on quality performance generally
- Actively participate in safety management programs including attendance at site safety walks and issuance of observation cards
- Providing continual communication, reporting and close coordination with the Head of Quality (COMP2/5 & COMP3) and Site Manager in Sohar yard on the quality performance of the EPC Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors
- Conduct other quality related tasks as directed by the Quality Division Manager
- Manage site non-conformance and technical deviations in close collaboration with the Head of Quality and Site engineering team.
- Lessons Learned process to continuously capture quality learnings from fabrication activities and to use them to develop and optimise process or specification improvements
- Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
--Minimum Requirements--
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering
- Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
Knowledge and Key Skills
- 10 years’ experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
