Planning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our company in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure the successful delivery of engineering and industrial projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution plans.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances.
• Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates for management.
• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Participate in project planning meetings and provide scheduling support.
• Analyse project risks related to scheduling and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and project planning standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, or related discipline).
• Local hiring only
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling techniques, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, energy, or engineering projects is preferred.
