As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room, you’ll assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care while working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team in Doha, Qatar. You’ll respond to unexpected and emergent situations, support medical providers with procedures and treatments, and help patients and families understand their care. Employment Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Onsite in Doha, Qatar. This is an unaccompanied international assignment requiring relocation.
Schedule: Shift rotation and on-call availability are required to support 24/7 emergency coverage.
Responsibilities
Assess patients, document vital signs and clinical histories, establish care goals, and promptly communicate changes in condition to medical providers. Provide nursing care within licensed scope, including medication and vaccine administration, specimen collection, catheter insertion, EKGs, wound care, bandage changes, visual-acuity testing, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Perform designated Emergency Room laboratory testing using i-STAT and other point-of-care tests, including urine dipstick, rapid influenza, and Rapid Strep A testing. Support emergency response activities, including EMS patient transfers, Code Blue responses, on-call coverage, and twice-yearly mass-casualty drills. Educate patients to support informed health decisions and serve as an advocate for patients and their families throughout care.
Maintain clinical readiness through supply monitoring and restocking, required cross-training within clinics and units, and completion of required organizational and regulatory education.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or international equivalent. Current, valid, and unrestricted nursing license from your country of origin. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an emergency room setting. Obtain provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
Ability to obtain a base security clearance and relocate to Qatar; a valid passport from your country of record must be in your possession before relocation and maintained throughout the assignment.
