We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance.
Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
✔ Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Chief Accountant or senior supervisory role
✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls
✔ Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA or CMA) is preferred
✔ Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
✔ Experience in Crude Oil and/or refined products trading operations is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily accounting operations and lead the accounting team
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, banks, and inventory
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial planning
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
- Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management
