MEP Engineer / Foreman

The ideal candidate will have Responsibilities such as (not limited to):

Project Management

• Overseeing construction projects to ensure timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.

Design, Planning & Technical Analysis

• Design MEP system layouts, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Assess project requirements and propose cost-effective solutions regarding equipment, supplies, and devices needed for installation and maintenance.
• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and optimize material usage.

Electrical Systems

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, fixtures, and devices in accordance with specifications and safety codes.
• Test and verify electrical components and troubleshoot any electrical faults efficiently.
• Ensure electrical systems meet project requirements, optimizing power distribution and system performance.

Plumbing Systems

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage solutions for private residential and commercial buildings.
• Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, and pressure issues, implementing corrective measures.
• Ensure proper water distribution and drainage to prevent system failures and inefficiencies.

Mechanical & HVAC Systems

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Perform routine checks on ventilation, heating, and cooling systems to maintain efficiency and functionality.
• Address mechanical faults and carry out repairs when necessary.

Hands-on Work & Supervision

• Supervise, guide, and coordinate a team of MEP technicians and laborers on-site, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform hands-on work when tasks can be completed independently or require direct intervention.
• Ensure all work meets safety regulations, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to facilitate seamless execution of MEP tasks.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce best practices to prevent hazards.
• Maintain documentation and records of completed work, materials used, and system performance.

Qualification

• Proven experience as an Engineer & MEP Foreman & Technician, specializing in private residential and commercial buildings.
• Diploma or Secondary School Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing Engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in MEP system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and designing MEP drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to assess and propose effective solutions for materials, equipment, and devices.
• Hands-on ability to conduct independent work as well as lead a team when necessary.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry codes, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with other trades and project stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication and documentation.
