Parts Sales Consultant

High-level Job Purpose Statement

Responsible for assisting customers in identifying and purchasing the right parts for their vehicles, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of the aftersales division.

Customer Service and Sales

• Assist customers in identifying their parts needs, providing accurate information, and recommending suitable parts based on their vehicle specifications.
• Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and explain the features, benefits, and compatibility of different parts to customers.
• Process parts orders, including pricing, invoicing, and arranging for delivery or pickup.
• Upsell and cross-sell related parts and accessories to maximize sales opportunities.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, part numbers, and pricing information.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders with suppliers to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments, verifying accuracy and quality.
• Organize and maintain the parts storage area, ensuring cleanliness and proper organization.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

• Provide technical support to customers by assisting with part identification, installation instructions, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues.
• Stay updated with product knowledge, technical specifications, and industry trends related to automotive parts.

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
• Follow up with customers to ensure their parts needs have been met and address any concerns or issues.
• Collaborate with the sales team and service department to enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Engine and Vehicle or any related field.

Experience

• 1 - 3 years in relevant work experience in sales parts.
