Role Description The Software Developer Intern will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web and mobile applications under the guidance of senior developers. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, assisting with back-end services and APIs, debugging issues, and contributing to code reviews and documentation.
The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features, learn best practices in software engineering, and participate in continuous improvement activities. This is an internship role based in Jeddah with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of on-site presence and work from home.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, preferably using modern languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them to real-world projects.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively in a hybrid setting.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is an advantage.
