Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Roads Engineer to join our team. In this role you will get to work on many amazing and state of the art projects in the Kingdom and GCC.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and produce the technical delivery of road design packages on infrastructure and development projects. Perform and review engineering calculations, design reports, drawings, and BIM models. Guide project teams through concept, preliminary, detailed, and construction design stages. Review road safety, operation, constructability, and maintenance requirements. Prepare and present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders. Support planning of resources and workload across design teams.
Conduct IDC and IDR reviews and ensure resolution of review comments. Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth. Review project submissions before issue to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements. Keep management informed of project progress, challenges, and delivery risks.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
Minimum 14+ years of experience with at least 10 years with Saudi projects. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering. Masters will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of urban road networks, highway design, and transportation infrastructure. Ability to independently lead design teams and manage project deliverables. Good understanding of grading design, cut and fill balance, and road drainage requirements.
Strong knowledge of AASHTO, DMRB, MOT, MOMRAH, SHC, Amanah, and RCRC requirements. Good understanding of Saudi road approval processes and local authority requirements. Advanced experience using Civil 3D for road corridor and roadway design. Working knowledge of Auto TURN, Navisworks, InfraWorks, and BIM workflows. Experience reviewing BIM models up to LOD 350 and coordinating multidisciplinary models. Strong experience producing technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
Ability to interpret traffic studies and integrate findings into road designs. Proven experience managing clients, authorities, design teams, schedules, and deliverables.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
Professional Engineer registration or equivalent professional certification. Arabic speaker is highly preferrable. Experience on major Saudi development, transportation, or infrastructure programs. Prior experience working with Riyadh Amanah, RCRC, MOT, and other government authorities. Experience leading proposals, project planning activities, and technical bids. Strong understanding of digital delivery and BIM execution plans.· Experience managing multidisciplinary design reviews and stakeholder workshops.
Knowledge of road safety audits and access management requirements. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery requirements. Ability to make sound technical decisions with limited supervision.
