Job Summary
The Graduate Marine Engineer supports the operation, maintenance, and performance of marine machinery and onboard engineering systems. Working under the supervision of senior engineers, the role involves assisting with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of marine engines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary machinery.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules.
- Monitor the performance of onboard equipment and report any abnormalities or failures.
- Participate in troubleshooting mechanical and engineering issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and maritime regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in inspections, testing, and commissioning activities when required.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge through training and on-the-job learning.
