The role of the “Technical Manager” is to be responsible for all technical requirements for all typologies Attraction rides and
devices within the complex. Thise role will involve active participation during Detailed Design stage through to ride and device installation onsite, working alongside consultants & manufacturers, aiming to implement SEVEN’s maintenance requirements, processes & technical pre & post opening requirements, ensuring operational readines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Active collaboration with operation & project attraction team and several project management consultants.
- Close communication with ride manufacturer engaged with SEVEN portfolio.
- Deal with best international safety practices and local authorities’ regulator in KSA
- Manage the technical requirements of the ride/device during their implementation.
- Works closely with SEVEN’s Operation & Project Attraction team to support the maintenance strategy, in alliance with the business operation plan, of each complex.
- Responsible for reviewing and commenting on Concept, Schematic, and Detail Design package reports, in alliance with SEVEN’s Project Strategy and protocols.
- Responsible to evaluate local and international market opportunities, such as evaluating potential new contractors, specialist supply and service provider companies, official/certified branded spare parts distributors, and trading companies etc… in alliance with Technical, Operational & Procurement requirements.
- Work closely with the QHSE team in the development and the implementation of the ISO systems & certifications.
- Responsible for developing, forecasting, monitoring & achieving budget operation expenses (including CAPEX and Pre-opening).
- Develop and achieve department and company objectives, action plans and key performance indicators to support company balanced scorecard approach in achieving the executive strategic plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Certifications
- IOSH/NEBOSH advantageous but not necessary
- Minimum 8 years in the leisure and attraction industry (preferrable in theme park industry)
- Familiar with the ride EN13814 & ASTM F24 standards, including wind tunnel, dark ride, climbing wall, E karting, playground standard
- Technical experience within the leisure and attraction industry, including project follow up/snagging.
- Proven track record in day-to-day management of Theme Park/FEC ride maintenance & Water Park equipment along with certification/recertification process.
- Detailed knowledge in roller coaster (Rehab, certification, evacuation, LOTO).
