About the role
🌎 Location: Remote in Spain
💰 Compensation: 30,000 - 39,000 EUR gross annually, based on your experience and seniority level.
We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to take ownership of HR operations in Spain, while supporting our people across other countries. You will be our first in-house HR professional in Spain, giving you the opportunity to shape how we manage the employee processes. From employment contracts and payroll admin to fostering an excellent employee experience, you will be the go-to person for all things HR in Spain.
Beyond that, you'll work closely with our People team and external partners to keep our international HR operations running smoothly. It's a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping things organised and making sure people processes run smoothly as the company grows.
Employment in Spain
- Own the full employee lifecycle for our team in Spain, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Make sure our practices follow Spanish labour law and the applicable collective agreement.
- Work with our payroll provider and external advisors, ensuring that payroll inputs, Social Security registrations and reporting are correct and on time.
- Manage occupational health and safety for our team in Spain.
- Be the first point of contact for employees in Spain on contracts, leave, benefits and other employment questions.
HR operations across the company
- Prepare and manage employment documents for different countries, using our templates and working with local advisors when needed.
- Manage day-to-day work with our EOR partners: onboarding and offboarding, contract changes, and checking payroll and leave data before it is final.
- Prepare and manage independent contractor agreements and keep contractor records up to date.
- Keep employee records and HRIS data accurate, and support reporting and audits.
- Support other people-related admin, such as residence and work permits, option agreements and benefits changes.
- Improve HR processes on a local and group level, following the best industry practices.
🧩 What makes you a great fit?
- At least 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a HR Operations or Generalist role.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law, collective agreements and payroll processes, and experience applying them in practice.
- Experience preparing and managing employment contracts and other employee documents.
- Experience with international HR, or a strong interest in it.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A service-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
- Comfort with shifting priorities and taking ownership of your area.
