We are looking for an experienced Accountant with strong experience in the Contracting Industry and hands-on knowledge of ERP accounting software. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, project-related accounts, financial records, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and general ledger.
- Handle project-wise accounting and cost tracking.
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including reconciliation and payment follow-up.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor project expenses and assist with budget and cost control.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and accounting statements.
- Assist with VAT calculations, filings, and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the ERP system.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, HR, and management teams regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable UAE regulations.
- Support auditors during internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the Contracting Industry.
- Strong knowledge of contracting/project accounting and cost control.
- Hands-on experience with ERP accounting software is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- UAE experience is preferred.
