Job title: Backend Developer — Middleware & Data Services Company: InfoLabs Global

About the roleYou'll build the middleware that sits between the building systems and the 3D twin — the APIs, services, and business logic that keep everything in sync and auditable.
What you'll do
- Develop backend services and REST/WebSocket APIs consumed by the Unreal client and dashboards
- Implement business logic for alarms, workflows, work orders, user roles, and audit trails
- Design and maintain relational and time-series database schemas
- Build message-driven pipelines for high-frequency telemetry
- Implement authentication, authorisation, and API security
- Write tests, participate in code review, and support deployment and troubleshooting
What you'll bring
- 4+ years backend development in Python, .NET, or Node.js
- Strong database skills (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and familiarity with time-series stores (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB)
- Experience with message brokers (MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ) and real-time data delivery
- Solid API design practice and understanding of performance under sustained load
- Docker and Git as everyday tools
Nice to have
- IoT platform or SCADA backend experience
- Experience serving data to a real-time 3D or game-engine client
Location & engagement
- Based in Dubai, UAE — on-site at InfoLabs Global and at the client facility as the project requires
- Project-based engagement for the duration of the Digital Twin program, with extension subject to project pipeline
- Applicants must currently be in the UAE with a valid residence visa. We are not sponsoring relocation for this program, and candidates who cannot join within a short notice period will not be considered.
