About the role
Edison Smart is proud to partner with a growing technology company based in Dubai looking for an Accountant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership over day-to-day accounting operations and is comfortable managing multiple sets of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial accounting and bookkeeping across the business
- Oversee general ledger management and ensure accuracy of records
- Handle VAT and Corporate Tax registration, filing, and ongoing compliance
- Coordinate the annual External Audit process, liaising directly with auditors
- Manage multiple books of accounts across entities/business units
- Support financial reports consolidation where required
- Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in financial accounting/bookkeeping
- Solid understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax compliance in the UAE
- Prior experience coordinating or directly supporting external audits
- Comfortable managing multiple entities/books of accounts simultaneously
- Strong Excel and ERP systems proficiency
- A good network of Tax Advisors, Auditors, or Consultants in Dubai is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
