About the role
The Role This is a freelance advisory engagement, not an employment position. We are looking for an experienced business credit and finance consultant to help Franco Pinto secure and improve the financing structures that support our trading operations in the UAE. You will work directly with the Managing Director on a defined set of objectives, on a success-fee basis. This is not a general loan brokerage role.
We are specifically interested in trade and working capital structures: supplier credit, receivables financing, and contract-linked facilities.
Scope of Work Supplier and vendor credit terms Review current supplier payment arrangements and identify where credit terms can be established or extended Prepare and support credit applications to distributors and vendors Advise on documentation, bank references and trade references required Receivables financing Assess our UAE receivables portfolio for suitability for invoice discounting or receivables finance Identify and approach banks or finance providers with appetite for our counterparty profile Advise on documentation standards required to make receivables financeable Contract and project finance Identify short-term facilities that can be drawn against confirmed customer contracts and purchase orders, and repaid on client settlement Support structuring and negotiation with lenders Advise on security, assignment and payment routing arrangements Advisory Advise on the overall financing structure and sequencing of facilities Provide an honest assessment where a facility is not achievable, rather than pursuing it What Success Looks Like Credit terms established or extended with at least two major suppliers A working receivables or contract finance facility in place with a UAE bank or finance provider A measurable reduction in the gap between supplier payment and customer settlement Clear, realistic advice on what is and is not achievable given our current position
Essential Minimum 5 years in trade finance, corporate banking, or business finance advisory in the UAE Active working relationships with UAE banks and finance providers at credit or relationship-manager level Demonstrable track record of placing trade finance, working capital or receivables facilities for SME and mid-market companies Strong working knowledge of letters of credit, invoice discounting, supplier credit and contract-linked lending Ability to read and work from financial statements, ageing reports and bank statements Professional English; Arabic an advantage Able to operate independently with minimal supervision Advantageous Experience with IT distribution, technology resale or similar import-and-deliver trading models Background in a UAE bank's trade finance or business banking division Experience with KSA banking facilities Existing relationships with regional distributors' credit departments
Engagement Model Freelance / consultancy engagement — not employment Remunerated on a success-fee basis, calculated as an agreed percentage of facilities secured and payable on drawdown No monthly retainer Fees apply only to facilities Franco Pinto accepts and draws Terms agreed in writing before any engagement begins Confidentiality A non-disclosure agreement will be signed before any financial information is shared. Remote working is acceptable, but active UAE banking relationships and the ability to attend meetings in person are required.
