About this role

The Strategic Insights Consultant (Defense & Security) sits at the critical intersection of defense research and strategic decision-making. As a key member of Infomineo’s team, you will transform comprehensive defense, aerospace, and security research findings into compelling, actionable narratives that address clients’ most pressing business and operational challenges. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in the Defense sector focusing on strategy.

It is also a good fit for professionals with experience at top-tier consulting firms (preferably MBB or Tier 1) who thrive on synthesizing defense market trends, evaluating defense technologies and supply chains, crafting clear business cases, and communicating insights with impact.

What you will do

• Insight Synthesis & Analysis: Translate complex defense industry, procurement, and market research outputs into clear, concise insights that align with client objectives.
• Defense Domain Expertise: Analyze trends across defense technology, military procurement, aerospace, and national security dynamics to inform client strategies.
• Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives and presentations that effectively communicate the 'so-what' of defense research findings to executive clients.
• Strategic Recommendations: Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations that help clients navigate market entry, capability planning, or competitive positioning in the defense sector.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal research teams to ensure insights are technically accurate, thorough, and strategically focused.
• Client Engagement: Interact directly with defense contractors, government vendors, and strategy consulting clients to understand their needs, refine deliverables, and provide strategic guidance.
• Knowledge Development: Contribute to internal best practices for synthesizing defense intelligence and creating impactful business cases.

Who you are

• Experience:

10 years of experience in Defense or at a top-tier consulting firm (MBB or Tier 1 preferred) with a proven track record of delivering strategic insights and client recommendations in defense, aerospace, national security, or related sectors.

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, Strategic Studies, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).

• Skills:
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and domain-specific research skills.
• Strong storytelling and presentation capabilities with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and visualization tools.
• Ability to distill complex defense data, procurement cycles, and market dynamics into actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Mindset: Client-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented with a passion for defense strategy and impactful narratives.
