About Get Golfing
Get Golfing CIO is an ambitious charity dedicated to making golf accessible to everyone.
We own and operate 13 golf facilities across England, welcoming over 12,000 members and 160,000 visitors annually, and accommodating 600,000 rounds of golf per year. As a £25m revenue organisation with 600 passionate team members, every penny of profit is reinvested into improving our venues, developing our people, and supporting community-focused charitable initiatives.
We are seeking an exceptional General Manager; someone commercially astute, operationally sharp, and an outstanding people leader, to take Warley Park Golf Club into its next phase of growth.
The Role
Warley Park Golf Club is an established golf destination set across 160 acres at Little Warley, near Brentwood. Its 27-hole operation comprises the 18-hole Warley course and 9-hole Childerditch course, with mature parkland, lakes and views across the Thames Estuary. The venue also offers practice facilities, a pro shop and a versatile clubhouse with a restaurant, terrace and function rooms for weddings, celebrations, meetings and golf events.
As General Manager, you will lead Warley Park’s day-to-day operations and take full ownership of the P&L. Reporting to Get Golfing’s Executive Team, you will develop the golf, course, clubhouse, food and beverage, and events teams to grow participation and revenue, deliver an exceptional experience for members and visitors, and maximise charitable impact.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a great sense of cause and purpose.

- Deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial control to ensure strong, sustainable performance.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations across both courses, the practice facilities, pro shop, clubhouse, restaurant, terrace and function spaces, ensuring consistently high standards.
- Work closely with the Course Manager to present both courses to a consistently high standard, protect the natural parkland setting and deliver an excellent year-round playing experience.
- Ensure all health, safety, and compliance obligations are met without compromise.
People & Culture
- Lead and develop a high-performing team who deliver warm, professional service.
- Create a positive, respectful working environment where staff feel supported, valued, and aligned to Get Golfing’s culture of proactive hospitality: “The answer is yes, now what is the question?”
Customer & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with members, visitors, societies, golf-day organisers, local partners and event clients, strengthening the club’s role as an inclusive community venue.
- Ensure every visitor receives excellent service, whether playing either course, practising, dining in the clubhouse or attending a golf day, wedding, celebration or business event.
Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership experience within golf, hospitality, leisure, or a comparable customer-focused environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of growing revenue and optimising operations.
