Build your HR career where people make the difference
A welcoming first day, a well-handled employee concern or a manager given the right support can make a real difference to someone’s working life. At HRM Homecare, that work also helps the teams delivering care in people’s own homes.
We’re looking for an organised, approachable HR Officer who enjoys working with people, asks good questions and follows things through. You’ll join a growing HR function with opportunities to develop your skills, funded CIPD study support and a broad remit across the business.
Working closely with senior colleagues, you’ll support people across the business and help managers follow through on their responsibilities.
What you’ll do
- Support recruitment, interview candidates and represent HRM at recruitment events.
- Coordinate employment onboarding and safe recruitment checks.
- Support employee relations cases with accurate records, correspondence and practical manager support.
- Keep HR records and workforce reports accurate, monitor compliance and escalate unresolved concerns.
- Work alongside our Staff Development Officer and operational teams, providing independent HR oversight of people-management and workforce-development compliance.
Apply with your CV and a short supporting statement telling us what you would bring to HRM’s HR team. We’d like to hear how you have supported people, improved a process or helped managers handle a challenge.

- An organised, approachable manner and the ability to follow actions through.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for recruitment events and occasional travel.
- Social care experience is welcome, but transferable HR experience is equally relevant.
Benefits
- £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience, with a predictable 37.5-hour working week.
- CIPD study funding and study leave towards Associate or Chartered membership.
- Opportunities to progress and specialise in employee relations, compliance or workforce planning as the HR function expands.
