The Team You’ll Join
Established in 1919, Homes & Gardens was Britain’s first homes magazine. More than a century later, we have transformed into a multi-platform global media brand. Homes & Gardens is the embodiment of ‘good design, in practice’, bridging the gap between the consumer space and the professional interior and garden design communities. We set ourselves apart by ensuring all our content delivers informative advice and expert insight. Accessible aspiration is at the heart of what we deliver.
In this role you'll join and be leading our interiors team.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Editor, you'll be responsible for leading the Homes & Gardens interiors team and overseeing our interiors output across print and digital.
You'll manage the team day to day, setting priorities, allocating work, developing talent and ensuring the department delivers consistently ambitious, high-quality content to deadline. You'll create a collaborative and creative working environment while maintaining clear editorial standards and expectations.
Alongside this, a key priority will be industry integration and relationship building. You'll maintain and develop a strong network across the UK and US design communities, using those relationships to source exceptional houses, secure access to leading designers and emerging talent, identify new trends and movements, and generate original editorial opportunities.
What you’ll bring
- The confidence and credibility to represent Homes & Gardens at the highest levels of the design industry.
- An instinct for social and video storytelling and a willingness to appear on camera.
- Confidence working with photographers, stylists, designers and other creative talent.
- An exceptional eye for interiors and a good instinct for what makes a compelling Homes & Gardens story or project.
- The skillset to host panel and other industry events in the luxury interiors industry.
- Ability to source outstanding houses, designers, projects and contributors.
- Excellent commissioning, writing and editing skills across print and digital.
- Experience developing and delivering ambitious editorial shoots.
Minimum Requirements
- A good level of editorial experience within luxury interiors, design or premium lifestyle media.
- Experience managing and developing an editorial or creative team.
- Established leadership skills, with the ability to inspire people while setting clear priorities and maintaining high standards.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK and specifically London interiors industry alongside an understanding of the US design market.
What we offer
