About the role
Sierra Select is seeking an experienced and highly organized Business Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day business operations, improve internal processes, and support cross-functional teams. This role will help ensure that business activities run efficiently while identifying opportunities to improve productivity, service quality, and overall operational performance.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with excellent organizational and communication skills and experience coordinating multiple business functions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily business operations across multiple departments.
- Develop, implement, and improve operational processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Monitor business performance, operational metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve productivity and reduce operational issues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance & Accounting, Procurement, Marketing, and other teams.
- Support order management, vendor coordination, inventory-related activities, and administrative operations.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
- Track projects, deadlines, priorities, and department deliverables.
- Prepare operational reports, summaries, and performance updates for leadership.
- Assist with budgeting, resource planning, and operational forecasting.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and business partners as needed.
- Help resolve operational issues and ensure timely follow-up.
- Support implementation of new systems, tools, and business processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and process improvement.
- Ensure teams have the information, resources, and support needed to meet operational goals.
- Participate in strategic planning and special projects as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in business operations, operations management, administration, project management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong understanding of business processes and operational planning.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience with business management, ERP, CRM, project management, or workflow systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience in distribution, consumer products, electronics, retail, or related industries is a plus.
