Role Overview

We’re looking for an organized, resourceful and highly proactive Workplace Operations Manager to own the employee experience of our Los Angeles offices.

You’ll be the hands-on leader of our LA workplace: running day-to-day office operations, the vendors and services that keep things moving, and the programs that make it a place people want to be. You’ll bring structure to a fast-moving environment, anticipate what employees and teams need, and build the systems and standards that let our LA workplace scale as we grow.

This is a role for someone who’s just as comfortable shaping the long-term strategy for our LA workplace as they are restocking the cups in the kitchen. No task is beneath you, and no problem is too big.

You’ll coordinate across internal teams and external partners to keep services reliable, spaces well run, and stakeholders aligned. In addition to daily operations, you’ll take ownership of operational initiatives that improve the workplace, such as launching new service programs, tightening vendor processes, or improving how information and documentation are managed.

This role could make sense for you if

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy keeping a busy workplace running smoothly
  • You’re energized by both the big picture of the employee experience and the operational details that make it work
  • You instinctively create systems, documentation, and processes where none exist
  • You’re comfortable managing multiple vendors, priorities, and stakeholders at once
  • You communicate clearly, follow through consistently, and keep people informed
  • You’re curious, resourceful, and willing to dig into unfamiliar problems
  • You enjoy scaling operations and improving the way work gets done

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations across our LA building portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for employees, building management, and landlords
  • Manage workplace services end to end, including snack and beverage programs, office supplies, lunch services, mail and deliveries, and other on-site amenities
  • Source, onboard, and manage workplace vendors, including contracts, pricing, service levels, invoicing, and performance reviews
  • Plan and run events and experiences in LA, from team gatherings and all-hands to leadership visits and seasonal programming
  • Manage the LA workplace budget, tracking spend, forecasting needs, and finding savings without sacrificing quality
  • Partner with Facilities on maintenance, repairs, space moves, and building issues, ensuring requests are resolved quickly
  • Support office expansions, renovations, and relocations in LA, owning defined portions from planning through occupancy
  • Coordinate closely with IT, Security, Finance, People, Legal, and business leaders
  • Maintain accurate records for leases, floor plans, workplace standards, vendors, and operational documentation
  • Develop standardized documentation, workflows, and repeatable processes for workplace operations
  • Gather employee feedback and use it to improve services, spaces, and programs
  • Help create scalable workplace practices that can support a growing, global organization
  • Work full-time onsite at our office in Los Angeles (El Segundo), California

Minimum Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in workplace, office management, facilities, operations, or a related field
  • Experience managing vendors and service contracts, and owning a budget
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management instincts with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • A hands-on, no-task-too-small attitude, with the strategic judgment to know which problems deserve a system and which just need doing
  • Ability to work independently, identify what needs to be done, and move work forward without extensive direction
  • A service-oriented, hospitality mindset and a genuine interest in the employee experience
  • Comfortable building structure in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Comfort learning and administering new operational tools and systems
  • Curious, resourceful, and proactive; you enjoy figuring things out and improving the way things are done
