The Warehouse Worker is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, organizing, pulling, staging, loading, shipping, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies used in construction and operational activities. This position assists with inventory management, warehouse organization, material handling, and logistics support to help maintain efficient warehouse operations and support field and project teams.
The Warehouse Worker plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring materials are properly handled and staged, supporting delivery schedules, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments and materials.
- Pull, stage, package, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for delivery or jobsite distribution.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and warehouse shipments safely and efficiently.
- Organize warehouse inventory and maintain clean, orderly storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory tracking activities.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate warehouse documentation including packing slips, shipping records, and inventory logs.
- Assist with material deliveries to jobsites or operational facilities as needed.
- Inspect materials and equipment for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to warehouse leadership.
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse operational standards at all times.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and assist with housekeeping duties.
- Support emergency material requests and operational needs when necessary.
- Assist warehouse leadership with general warehouse and logistics support activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and operational processes.
- Basic computer and inventory system skills preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately identify and organize materials and equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
- May assist with training new warehouse employees or temporary personnel as assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Position Type and Expected Work Time
Work Environment
- Work is performed in warehouse, loading dock, and outdoor operational environments.
- Regular exposure to warehouse traffic, forklifts, construction materials, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- PPE may be required including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vests.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and lift throughout the workday.

- Must possess adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely perform warehouse duties.

Typical Schedule/Shift Details
- Typically works Monday through Friday with schedules varying based on operational and project needs.
- Overtime, early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required based on delivery schedules or operational demands.
Overtime Expectations
- This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state laws
- Overtime must be approved in advance by management
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certifications/Licenses
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of warehouse, shipping and receiving, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Experience in construction, industrial, electrical, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred.
