RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life, and disability
  • Counsel employees on plan options, eligibility, life events, and coverage questions by email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions
  • Support annual open enrollment, including communications, system setup, employee questions, and vendor coordination
  • Partner with carriers and vendors on eligibility, claims issues, billing, and plan administration
  • Serve as liaison with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Legal, and other stakeholders on benefits matters
  • Ensure benefits programs remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Identify, recommend, and implement benefits process and program improvements
  • Support wellness and related employee benefit programs
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of human resources experience in a generalist or benefits background

EXPERIENCE

  • Benefits or human resources certification (CEBS, PHR, etc.)
  • Experience with benefits platforms such as Workday or UGK
  • Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Highly collaborative, with a strong team orientation
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple high priorities in a loosely structured environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

REQUIREMENTS

  • This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area
  • Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed
  • Ability to travel to other SpaceX offices as needed

Level 2: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees accrue paid sick leave pursuant to Company policy which satisfies or exceeds the accrual, carryover, and use requirements of the law.

REQUIREMENTS

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
