ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an Associate Director of Tactical Products - Business Development to join our rapidly growing team based in Costa Mesa, CA; Washington, D.C.; or Remote for Exceptional Candidates and drive the go-to-market for the portfolio of Deadshot Precision Weapon Systems. Warfighter System’s tactical product portfolio transforms existing rifle platforms into precise cUAS solutions.
Deadshot leverages an integrated sensor suite that detects, tracks, and predicts target movement, which then informs a novel electro-mechanical weapon augment that provides dynamic steering for precision engagement.
Deadshot is a disruptive and transformative capability that includes soldier-borne; portable, RWS, ground vehicle mounted; and aerial platform variants. We are looking for a mission-driven, complex problem solver, with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive the end-to-end deal process across wide-ranging markets and segments; manage a diverse and evolving pipeline; and effectively engage with a demanding customer base.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and execute Deadshot capture strategies to drive the go-to-market and grow the Warfighter Systems Tactical Products business
- Identify new business opportunities within the Department of War and other government agencies, both domestically and internationally.
- Own and manage Deadshot deals from identification to qualification, to close
- Conduct robust market research, identify potential partnership opportunities and refine go-to-market accordingly
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key Anduril internal teams and stakeholders to identify and shape new business opportunities, proactively communicate and resolve program issues, and provide strategic direction to program teams across mission operations, product engineering, and manufacturing
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8-10 years of experience in tactical product business development, capability development, or acquisition
- Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and capturing tactical product deals
- Strong understanding tactical product and cUAS markets and funding sources. Ability to develop and coordinate programmatic funding and growth with our Government Relations, Strategy team and adjacent business lines.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural engagement skills. Ability to work across internal teams and external stakeholders to drive capability adoption.
- Eligible to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- SOF Operational Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge in defense acquisitions either from Government or industry experience
- Intimate understanding of requirements generation, acquisition strategy development, programming, planning, and budgeting cycles
- A technically minded leader who can build, adapt, and implement new and innovative approaches to market
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, and creative environment
- Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within defense and intelligence community to drive capability adoption
- Demonstrated high-energy leader who will drive performance and exhibit strong management skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Excellent writing, communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers
$166,000—$220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
