Summary
Entry-level validation engineer supporting execution of qualification testing and documentation under guidance of senior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Executes Static IQ, Dynamic IQ, and OQ test steps
- Assist in protocol execution for IQ/OQ/PQ testing activities.
- Collect and organize validation evidence, logs, and test data.
- Support installation phase activities and documentation updates.
- Participate in deviation investigations and follow-up actions.
- Learn and apply departmental standards and validation best practices.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate may regularly be required to do manual tasks which include walking, using crossovers by going up and down metal stairs, the use of hands to finger and hand controls. Tasks may also require the ability to talk or hear. The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Associate may be required to obtain and hold a forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift operator’s license.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Other abilities include possessing the capacity to learn, concentrate, think, and read. Oftentimes the associate will be communicating and interacting with others while working.

REMOTE (HOME OFFICE) AND FIELD WORK EXPECTATIONS
Billable (Direct Project) Hours are calculated based on 25-30% of overall project hours spent in remote or home office and 70-75% of overall project hours spent in the field. Remote/home project deliverables will be outlined in resource plan and project schedules. Weekly status updates while working remote are required.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
Hours in the field will be project dependent. The majority of weeks in the field will be spent with 10 days on the job site and 4 days off at home.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, industrial technology, computer science, or related field.
- 0–2 years experience (internship/co-op in regulated industry preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn validation processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of AutoStore systems, including installation, commissioning, and startup experience.
- Completion of internship or co-op in automated systems environment.
- Basic understanding of validation terminology (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Strong technical writing ability.
