About the role

Summary

Ironwear is hiring a Screen Printing Operator to customize safety vests and other personal protective equipment at our Deer Park, Texas facility. You'll work in a dedicated print room with screen-printing presses and drying equipment, producing consistent prints on protective apparel.

You'll take each screen-printing job from screen and ink preparation through printing, drying and quality checks. Pad-printing and heat-transfer jobs may also be part of the role depending on current work orders.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and register multi-color screen-printing jobs.
  • Adjust print alignment and prepare inks and materials to match each job's requirements.
  • Match artwork, work orders and pick tickets to the correct screens and products before printing.
  • Operate screen-printing, pad-printing, heat-transfer and drying equipment safely. Follow safety procedures when handling inks and cleaning materials, and promptly report equipment problems.
  • Check placement, alignment, color consistency and ink coverage against artwork and work orders at setup and throughout production. Make adjustments or promptly report quality issues.
  • Clean and maintain printing equipment, prepare and reclaim screens, and keep the work area organized.
  • Coordinate with the production team to meet daily output expectations and shipping deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience with screen-printing presses, pad-printing equipment or heat-transfer equipment. Two or more years of printing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with job setup and breakdown, screen preparation and reclamation, ink mixing, multi-color print registration, and four-color or simulated-process printing.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or previous hands-on manufacturing or production experience.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, ability to follow work instructions, and willingness to learn printing processes and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for order lookups and updates.
  • Clear communication, organization and the ability to work with a production team.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Work environment

This role involves standing for extended periods in a dedicated print room.
