About Us
Rho is the modern banking platform built for the AI era. Startups and growth-stage companies can open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.
About the role
We're hiring a Marketing Operations Manager to be the connective tissue across Rho's marketing org: Growth, Brand, and Community, three pillars, over a dozen workstreams, and no single place any of it lives. Today that coordination sits entirely with the VP of Marketing, which means visibility into what's actually running, what's stalled, and what's about to slip depends on one person's bandwidth. That doesn't scale, and it's already cost us once.
You'll fix that. You'll build and run the system of record, one place where every workstream's owner, status, and metric lives, and turn the data that Growth Engineering and the data science team produce into the reporting cadence marketing, exec, and the board actually use. You're not building the models or running the incrementality tests yourself; you're the translator and the operator who makes sure the right number reaches the right person before it reaches a board meeting as a surprise, not after.
This is a chief-of-staff role, not a channel-owner role. You don't run paid spend, you don't own a vendor relationship, and you don't carry single-threaded risk on any one workstream (that concentration is exactly what this role exists to prevent). You sit across all three pillars with enough context to know when something's off-track, and enough process discipline to surface it early rather than let it compound.
Responsibilities
- Own the system of record: one place where every workstream across Growth, Brand, and Community is tracked against its owner, status, and the metric it's supposed to move.
- Run a weekly written review across all three pillars (not a dashboard nobody opens) so slipping work surfaces early instead of reaching the VP of Marketing the night before it matters.
- Translate the outputs of Growth Engineering and the data science team (funnel performance, cost per funded account, channel health) into reporting marketing, exec, and the board actually run on. You consume these models, you don't build them.
- Track every vendor and spend commitment against sign-off status; flag anything moving forward without it before it becomes a fait accompli.
- Maintain a single, current version of marketing strategy and planning docs, replacing the scattered state across Slack, Notion, and individual owners' heads.
- Run the cadence on hiring, budget, and planning asks that go to Devonaire, Bojan, and other cross-functional partners, so those requests are tracked to a decision instead of going quiet.
- Keep a live map of who owns what, including backup owners for anything with single-threaded risk, so no function or vendor relationship depends on one person.
- Flag ownership gaps and conflicting priorities across pillars directly, rather than letting them resolve themselves by default.
- Prep the VP of Marketing for exec and board conversations with the current state of every workstream, not a stale snapshot.
Requirements
- You've designed and run an incrementality or lift test (holdout, geo-lift, PSA-style), not just read about the concept. You know what breaks a naive test — seasonality, cross-channel halo, saturation — and how to control for it.
- Fluent SQL, and you've built and owned dbt models in a real warehouse. This isn't a role you can do from platform UIs.
- You've owned marketing or GTM data where the number mattered financially, and defended a CAC or attribution figure to a skeptical exec.
- You've reconciled conflicting numbers across ad platforms, a CRM, and a warehouse, and can explain the gap rather than picking the flattering one.
- Systems experience, not just analysis:
forms, routing, CRM sync, reverse ETL, taxonomy. Comfortable owning plumbing.
- You define metrics instead of waiting to be handed them.
- Judgment on PII and compliance in a regulated financial services context.
- Comfortable as the only person in your function, working across marketing, data engineering, sales ops, and growth without authority over any of them.
Nice to have
- Fintech, banking, or another regulated environment.
- Snowflake, dbt, Hightouch, Salesforce, HubSpot.
- Measurement for AI search and answer engine visibility. It's an active channel for us and barely instrumented anywhere.
