About the Role
This is an individual contributor production role responsible for supporting vehicle and/or powertrain manufacturing operations on the factory floor. The role typically reports to a Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Group Leader. This position exists to help meet production demand, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure workstations operate efficiently as Lucid scales output.
In the first 12 months, tThis person is expected to consistently execute standardized work, meet rate and quality expectations, follow all safety requirements, and contribute to team output across assigned areas. Success is measured through dependable attendance, quality of work, adherence to process, safe work habits, and the ability to learn new tasks quickly.
A strong candidate will gain hands-on experience building advanced electric vehicle products in a highly collaborative manufacturing setting with exposure to innovative processes, new technology, and cross-functional problem-solving that is difficult to match in more traditional production environments.
What You Own
- Production Output: Execute assigned production work to standard so the team consistently meets daily volume, quality, and throughput expectations.
- Quality Execution: Follow documented procedures and verify work at each step to help prevent defects, identify issues early, and maintain high craftsmanship standards.
- Safety Compliance: Apply all environmental health and safety requirements, including PPE use and safe work practices, to protect yourself and others on the production floor.
- Workstation Readiness: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepared work area so tools, materials, and equipment support efficient production flow.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner effectively with teammates and adjacent functions such as engineering, quality, and materials to resolve issues that affect production continuity.
- Process Discipline: Perform work in the required sequence and at established rate while sustaining attention to detail over repetitive tasks and extended shifts.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, or efficiency and contribute practical ideas that support better production outcomes.
- Process Ownership & Escalation: Within process you are responsible for, if any type of abnormality were to arise, you escalate immediately to your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions, maintain quality expectations, and perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate in English in both written and verbal form and work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet background check requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or other fast-paced operations environment.
- Experience with vehicle, powertrain, or component assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, tow motors, order pickers, or pallet jacks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and production-related calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, processes, and technologies quickly.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment.
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–530 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting waist, and squatting as part of process and tasks.
- Repetitive Motions: Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing.
