Lead AI Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead AI Engineer to spearhead their artificial intelligence initiatives. This role is based in Sanad, Capital, BH , and requires a strong presence in the office for collaborative development and team leadership. You will be responsible for guiding the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI systems, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading AI engineering teams, architecting complex ML pipelines, and delivering robust, production-ready AI solutions. Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers in the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and systems. Architect scalable and efficient machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, model training, evaluation, and deployment. Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to define project requirements and technical specifications. Oversee the implementation of AI solutions in production environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Establish and enforce best practices for AI development, coding standards, and testing methodologies. Conduct code reviews and provide technical feedback to team members. Research and evaluate new AI technologies and tools to enhance development capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AI systems. Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap for the company's AI roadmap. Present project progress and technical findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Extensive experience (7+ years) in software engineering, with a significant focus on AI and machine learning development. Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a lead or senior engineering role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Expertise with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and libraries.

Strong understanding of ML algorithms, data structures, and software design principles. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Proven ability to design, build, and deploy production-level ML systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
