What to expect
As a Postgraduate Working Student – System Administrator / IT Support, you will gain hands-on experience in IT support and system administration, working with Windows/Linux environments, Microsoft 365 services, networking, and IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with the IT team, support daily operations, and contribute to maintaining and improving internal systems and processes.
Task Description
- Support the daily operations of the IT team and provide technical assistance to employees.
- Provide 1st level IT support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations and IT equipment.
- Support the administration of Windows and Linux systems.
- Assist in managing Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory, and user accounts.
- Support network administration, backup solutions, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Provide IT support to colleagues and partners across our international locations.
- Participate in business trips to customer and partner sites across Europe for IT installations, technical support, and infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to documenting IT processes and improving the company's IT infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Microsoft 365.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Europe to support customers, partners, and company locations.
- Very good command of English; knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
