The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, supporting the achievement of organizational objectives through effective people management. The role combines strategic HR business partnering with operational oversight of Compensation & Benefits and Payroll to ensure the delivery of efficient, compliant, and employee-focused HR services.
The HRBP works closely with department heads to drive workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development while ensuring payroll accuracy, equitable compensation practices, compliance with Omani Labour Law, and the achievement of Omanisation objectives.
Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational priorities and align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Provide expert advice and coaching on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
- Support organizational restructuring, change management, and succession planning initiatives.
- Analyze workforce metrics and recommend actions to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with managers to identify current and future workforce requirements.
- Support recruitment planning in line with approved manpower budgets.
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Identify talent and support succession and career development initiatives.
Performance Management
- Coordinate the annual performance management cycle.
- Coach managers on performance reviews, development plans, and performance improvement processes.
- Monitor completion and quality of performance evaluations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Manage compensation and benefits administration in accordance with company policies and market practices.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Review salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, allowances, and incentive recommendations.
- Support the annual salary review and bonus processes.
- Ensure all employee benefits are administered accurately and efficiently.
- Provide recommendations on compensation strategies to attract, retain, and motivate talent.
Payroll Management
- Oversee the monthly payroll process in collaboration with Finance to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
- Review payroll inputs, including new hires, salary revisions, overtime, leave balances, deductions, allowances, incentives, and end-of-service benefits.
- Ensure payroll complies with Omani Labour Law, tax, social insurance, and company policies.
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensure employee records and payroll data are accurate within the HRIS.
- Support payroll audits and continuously improve payroll controls and processes.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units.
- Manage employee grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive employee relations climate through proactive engagement initiatives.
Learning & Development
- Identify learning needs through performance discussions and business requirements.
- Coordinate with the Learning & Development function to implement development programs.
- Support leadership development and employee career progression.
Omanisation & Compliance
- Monitor and support the achievement of Omanisation targets.
- Ensure compliance with Omani Labour Law and all relevant employment regulations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support government reporting and employment-related compliance requirements.
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and analyze HR reports relating to headcount, turnover, absenteeism, payroll, compensation, recruitment, and employee engagement.
- Develop dashboards and provide insights to support informed business decisions.
- Monitor HR KPIs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering, Compensation & Benefits, and Payroll.
- Experience within hospitality, tourism, real estate, or integrated destination developments is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Omani Labour Law, Omanisation regulations, payroll administration, and compensation practices.
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms.
